Tours

For a young child, the first experience in a hospital setting can be frightening. There are new people, strange equipment and a whole world of the unknown for a child that is ill.

A tour of Nathan Littauer Hospital can ease those fears. NLH tours allow a child to first experience the Hospital when they are happy, healthy and surrounded by friends and classmates. A child can be at ease as knowledgeable guides introduce the people that staff NLH and explain how all that strange equipment helps in treating our patients.

Tours familiarize a child with the Hospital in a friendly and relaxed manner so that if the unfortunate day arrives that the child must visit the Hospital as a patient, he or she is already familiar with the surroundings.

NLH tours are a great introduction to the field of health care for elementary school children, but that’s not all. For older students Nathan Littauer Hospital offers a look at the future….

Junior High and High School students looking for a career direction can investigate their health field of interest at Nathan Littauer Hospital. NLH Tours for older students give an in-depth look at the responsibilities and opportunities of fields from Respiratory Therapy to Nursing, Medical Technology to Pharmacy, and much more! It’s a chance for students to find out more about the careers that interest them….information that could lead to making a decision that lasts a lifetime.
