Littauer's Brush Receives Certification

Gloversville...

Amy Brush of Nathan Littauer’s Primary Care Center in Gloversville, was recently awarded the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential after successfully passing the national certification examination. Amy is the only Billing Specialist at the Primary Care Center to become a Certified Professional Coder. Coders read medical documents and break them down so that insurance companies can determine what services were provided and how to pay for those services appropriately. Amy attended a 15 week class to prepare for the exam. "I wanted to become more proficient at my job", states Brush. "In preparing for this exam, I gained a better understanding of billing and coding."

The exam is sponsored by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC), a nationally renowned organization, which Amy is now a member of.

Amy resides in Johnstown with her fiancé Scott.
