First Baby of the Year for Littauer!

Babies “R” Us announces Logan Xavier Jones, son of Cody Daum and Jason Jones from Gloversville, as a winner of the “First Baby of the Year” Sweepstakes and award the baby and mother with $100 Babies “R” Us gift basket. Logan was born at 1:33 pm on January 1, 2006 at Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home in Gloversville. Logan weighs 7lbs. 15 ounces and is 20.5 inches long.
Babies “R” Us launched the “First Baby of the Year” sweepstakes nationwide to expectant moms with due dates on or around January 1, 2006 as well as any hospital. Thousands of expectant moms and hundreds of hospitals participated in the Babies “R” Us First Baby of the Year Sweepstakes. Babies “R” Us provided all hospitals that registered a $100 baby gift basket to be awarded to the first baby born in their hospital. There is also a $25,000 grand prize to the very first baby born in 2006 and that baby’s hospital will win a $10,000 pre-natal education grant.
We’ve combined two very memorable moments- birth and New Year’s Celebration in an exciting promotion that has recognized the importance and significance of both of these events,” said Susan Montecallo, vice president, marketing for Babies “R” Us. “We are thrilled with the thousands of moms and hospitals with maternity services who participated in this promotion,” she adds, “And certainly congratulate Logan Xavier Jones for being the first baby born at Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home.”
Logan was also presented with a “New Year’s Baby” basket from the Nathan Littauer Hospital Auxiliary.
