Colby Recognized as Littauer’s Employee of the Year!
Gloversville…
Kelly Colby, Administrative Assistant at Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home, was recently recognized as the Employee of the Year for 2004. This award is given to individuals who display an attitude of professional demeanor that captures the ideals of Littauer by providing high quality health and wellness services to the community, in a caring contemporary environment. Colby, who has been employed by Littauer for 14 years, works in Marketing and Development.
Colby was nominated by a co-worker who states, "Kelly is someone who takes great pride in her job. No request is ever too complicated or time consuming. When you see Kelly in action, you know she embodies what employee of the year stands for. " Another co-worker writes " Kelly supports the principles and vision of our community hospital by placing care of patients first. Kelly is color-blind, indifferent to social station and accepts people where she finds them; a genuine woman who shines in a group of stars."
"Kelly emulates the criteria of this award. I am pleased to present this to someone who holds the values of the Hospital and Nursing Home in such high regard", states Laurence Kelly, Littauer's President and CEO.
"I think of my coworkers as part of a family", says Colby. "We spend more time with them then our real families. Just as I would do anything to help a member of my real family, I would do the same for my Littauer family. The key to being successful is enjoying what you do. I love my job and I am honored to be Littauer's Employee of the Year".
As Employee of the Year, Kelly received a check, corsage, and she can park in the doctor's parking lot for one year. She will also have a plaque with her photo displayed in the Hospital.
