First Niagara Partners with the Nathan Littauer Foundation

Gloversville...

First Niagara Bank recently awarded $2,500.00 to the Nathan Littauer Foundation to support its annual fundraiser, The EVENT, benefiting Nathan Littauer Hospital.

"As a community bank, First Niagara proudly makes our support of charitable organizations a priority," said First Niagara's Gloversville branch manager Kimberli Adamchick. "Supporting Nathan Littauer Hospital, which has such a positive impact on the quality of life in Fulton County and surrounding areas, is a great opportunity for First Niagara to help make a difference. By embracing the significance of giving as part of our business philosophy, we believe we are making First Niagara a better place to work and Fulton County a better place to live.

Since 1983, The Nathan Littauer Foundation has supported Nathan Littauer Hospital through fundraising and related activities. In 2005 the Foundation pledged $200,000.00 toward the purchase of advanced medical monitoring equipment in the special care unit, emergency room, operating room and maternity. "The EVENT is our premiere fundraising activity and ensures the continued presence of our hospital in the community," said Ronald M. Olinsky, President of the Nathan Littauer Foundation Board of Directors. "Our hospital is world class, a unique and irrepleacable asset. It is the Foundation's job to rally the community, both businesses and individuals, and support the needs of our patients, our physicians and staff. We are pleased to recognize First Niagara's participation."

The EVENT is open to the public and will be held on May 13, 2005 at The Holiday Inn. For ticket information contact the Nathan Littauer Foundation Office at 773-5505.
