Local Businesses Team Up for Community Walking Challenge

Gloversville...

Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home along with the Fulton County Chamber of Commerce, LinCare, Fulton County Department of Public Health, Central National Bank and Carville Leather have teamed up to host an 8-week "Community Walking Challenge".

The "Community Walking Challenge" will begin on June 26 and end on August 21. Participants can walk or run anywhere as long as the mileage can be determined. The "Challenge" will culminate at Littauer's "Community Health Day" on August 28, where prizes, including the "Littauer Cup" will be awarded.

"We had such a great response from our 'Community Health Day' last year that we decided to create a 'Community Walking Challenge' ", states Sue Cridland, Director of Community Education HealthLink Littauer. "Anyone can participate, individually, as a company team or an organization and the only cost is time out of your day to walk!"

A "Kick Off" event will be held at Littauer's walking track on June 2 at 5:30 p.m. It will be moved to Littauer's Auditorium in the event of rain. You can register from May 29-June 26 by calling HealthLink Littauer at 736-1120 or the Fulton County Chamber at 725-0641.
