Walsh Attends Radiologic Conference Gloversville…
Linda Walsh, Radiologic Technologist of Littauer's Diagnostic Imaging Department, recently attended the 75th Annual Conference for Radiologic Technologists held in Dallas, Texas. All technologists, including Walsh a technologist at Littauer for 32 years, need to take 24 hours of continuing education over a two year period to maintain their certification. Over seven days, Linda attended classes on Child Abuse and the Radiographers Role; Bone Density; Digital Mammography; Nursing Home Abuse and the Radiographers Role; Fluoroscopy; and Dealing with Difficult Patients. "The programs were very interesting and informative. It’s exciting to see how much the radiology field has grown," Walsh states. "I was even more excited to learn that our equipment at Littauer is the same equipment they use in Dallas. Our technology here at the Hospital is truly advanced."
Linda, a Gloversville resident, is a member of the Light House Preservation Society and President of the Gloversville Lion’s Club. She also enjoys traveling around the world.
