Littauer welcomes new respiratory therapist to their staff Gloversville…
The Respiratory Care department at Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home is pleased to welcome Barbara DeLuca, RRT-NPS to their team of healthcare professionals. Barbara has been a registered respiratory therapist for 25 years. Prior to coming to Littauer, Barbara worked as a hyperbaric chamber technician at Amsterdam Memorial. She also worked as a clinical instructor in the respiratory care program at Hudson Valley Community College and as a respiratory therapist at Albany Medical Center.
As well as being a respiratory therapist, Barbara is certified in Neonatal and Pediatric Specialty, she is a Registered Invasive Cardiovascular technologist, a Certified Hyperbaric Technologist and Barbara is an Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor.
"We are thrilled to have Barbara join our staff ," states Wayne McNeil, Manager of Cardio Pulmonary Services. "The knowledge and experience that she brings to Littauer are invaluable." "I spent a couple of years away from respiratory therapy and I found I missed it a lot", states DeLuca. "Littauer presented a perfect opportunity at the perfect time."
Barbara resides in Caroga Lake where she is also an EMT and the Fire Chief for the Caroga Lake Volunteer Fire Co. Inc.
