Littauer Employees Attend Training

Several employees of Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home attended a Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training held by the Crisis Prevention Institute. All attendees are now certified instructors of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention and will be offering classes to all employees at Littauer. This training provides techniques and principles to de-escalate a potentially violent situation by using therapeutic responses instead of anxiety and defensiveness. This helps to ensure that the care, welfare, safety and security of all patients, visitors and employees is maintained.
