Littauer to Recognize "Legends"

Gloversville…

The Nathan Littauer Foundation will recognize 143 years of personal and professional service to Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home on Wednesday, October 27, 2004. The "Littauer Legend" award will be given to Richard E. Hathaway, 57 years of service to the Hospital and Foundation Boards; Edwards S. Holcomb, MD, 46 years of service on the Littauer Medical Staff; and Shirley A. Cook, 40 years of service in the Hospital's nutrition department.

Ronald Olinsky, vice president of the Nathan Littauer Foundation, says of the honor, "Nathan Littauer Hospital is celebrating 110 years of service in the community. Our founder, Lucius N. Littauer, was long admired for his commitment and generosity, not only to this hospital but to the people of Gloversville and Fulton County. We believe this to be a particularly significant year to begin the tradition of honoring individuals whose commitment to this Hospital and Nursing Home is exemplary.

This evening is open to the public. For reservations call the Nathan Littauer Foundation at 773-5505.

The mission of the Nathan Littauer Foundation is to provide the necessary funding to ensure the continuation of the latest healthcare services and technology in our community.
