Littauer Board Announces New Member
Gloversville...
The Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home Board of Directors is pleased to announce officers for 2007. They include: Matthew Kearney, D.D.S., chair; Neil McGovern, owner of the Inn at Speculator, vice chair; Tobin L. Cash, CPA, treasurer; and Arlene M. Sitterly, retired realtor, secretary.
John Fox, DDS was elected to the board for his first three-year term. Dr. Fox is board certified in Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery and has been practicing in Gloversville since 1981. He was appointed to the Nathan Littauer Hospital medical staff in 1983 and has been Chief of Surgery since 1994. Dr. Fox has served on the Mayfield Board of Education for 12 years and is the current president. When asked to join the board as a community representative, Dr. Fox said, "I recognize the importance of giving back to the community through service. Our Hospital is a valuable resource. I am excited to combine my knowledge of medicine with the healthcare needs of our community, to help Littauer plan for the future."
The following members were re-elected to a three-year term: Bruce Brownell of Adirondack Alternative Energy, John Comstock, retired engineer; Susan P. Johnson, Esq.; and Lois Widdemer of Bali Leather. Other members of the Board include Jeff Bray of the Fulton County Economic Development Corporation, David Handron, MD; David Seward, Esq.; Shriraj Shah, MD; William N. Smith, retired banker; Pierre Lataillade, MD, Chief of Staff; and Laurence Kelly, Littauer’s president/CEO.
