Littauer’s Maternity Department Receives Special Quilts!

Gloversville…

The Sew Busy Quilt Guild of Gloversville recently donated 12 quilts to Nathan Littauer Hospital for babies of families in need. The quilts were made by the Guild in March on National Quilting Day with the theme of "Hugs and Kisses". The Guild began donating the quilts in 1996 to Littauer's Maternity department. Ceci VanDenburgh, representative from the Guild, began making quilts while she was pregnant. "Donating these quilts is a nice way to share the happiness of a family heirloom a quilt can become", VanDenburgh states. "We hope they bring the recipients warmth and comfort." Judy Schuh RN and Sally Mann RN, both nurses on Maternity added, "People really enjoy receiving the quilts, they brighten their day. We’re honored that the Guild thinks of our patients. "
