Littauer RN Receives Nomination

Gloversville…

Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home recently nominated Nancy Hisert, RN Manager of Special Care Unit for the Center for Donation and Transplant's (CDT) Annual Nurse of the Year. This nomination recognizes an outstanding commitment to organ donation both professionally and in the community.

Nancy was nominated by Regina Mulligan, vice president of nursing and Mary Weaver, associate director of nursing for her proactive approach in identifying potential donors and notifying the CDT in a quick and diligent manner. "Nancy is very sensitive to families' wishes and needs during an extremely difficult time, states Regina Mulligan, Littauer's vice president of nursing. "Her sensitivity proves to contribute to the success of the organ donation program at Littauer".

"Nancy is dedicated and committed to the CDT's mission", states Mulligan. "She is a valued employee who goes above and beyond her duties as a nurse every single day. We are fortunate to have her on our staff."

Nancy has been employed at Littauer for 40 years. She started the Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) with the late Dr. Robert Kemp and designed the Intensive Care Unit for Littauer.
