PHARMACY 340B COORDINATOR

Description: Responsible for assisting in maintaining relationships with locally contracted pharmacies, managing contracts and payments,  auditing and reconciling reports from the pharmacy and the wholesaler on what is ordered, paid and dispense to patients.

Duties include regulatory compliance for purchasing and 340 regulations.  Ensure pharmaceutical pricing validation and provide data for billing.

Responsible for providing pharmaceutical supply expense related information and support by establishing and maintaining internal controls that provide accurate and timely expense and use histories to management for decision making.

Requires:

  • HSD/GED
  • A.A.S. in Business Administration or equivalent education
  • One (1) year prior experience in the pharmacy industry
  • Experience with pharmacy wholesaler software and ordering procedures
  • Ability to understand Medical Terminology
  • Ability to use a computer to order pharmaceuticals and generate reports for the 340B program using Word & Excel

NURSE ASSISTANTHospital

Description: Performs various patient care activities and related services under the guidance of a Registered Professional Nurse and in accordance with Hospital policies and objectives.

Bathes and assists patients with personal hygiene.  Takes and records patients’ temperature, pulse rate, respiration rate and blood pressure under clinical guidance of Registered Professional Nurse.  Cleans, prepares and stores equipment trays and other supplies.

Serves and collects patient food trays and provides between meal nourishment’s.

Requires:

  • HSD/GED
  • One (1) year nurse’s aide type training or equivalent

Status: ~Med/Surg~ PT 24 2:45pm – 11:15pm & PT 16 10:45pm – 7:15am ~Casual/as needed all shifts~ ECC ~ FT 40  2:45pm-11:15am.

WARD CLERK – Hospital

Description: Performs general clerical duties by preparing, compiling and maintaining patient and operational records on a nursing unit.

Prepares requisitions for materials and services required by the Unit.

Acts as a receptionist and processes messages for patients, staff, and physicians.

Requires:

  • HSD/GED
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Possess previous experience in healthcare/medical office

PHLEBOTOMIST

Description: Obtains blood samples from patients for laboratory analysis using accepted clinical methods, including venipuncture and micro collection.

CLINICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

Description: Performs various chemical, microscopic, morphologic, immunologic, bacteriologic and other tests to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Organizes and assesses all work assignments to determine priorities, to segregate test groups and to analyze results.  Performs complex laboratory tests according to written protocol.

Analyzes, interprets and evaluates the reliability of test results for which he/she is responsible.

Exercises independent judgment in the conduct of the clinical laboratory with minimal supervision.

Requires:

  • HSD/GED
  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or with a major in one of the biological or physical sciences
  • One (1) year clinical laboratory experience

Status: ~ FT 40 7:00am – 3:30pm,  FT varied 2cd & 3rd shift

PHYSICAL THERAPIST

Description:  To perform skilled therapy interventions for a geriatric and rehab population.

Requires:

  • HSD/GED
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy
  • NYS Physical Therapist License ~ current and valid

Prefers:

  • One (1) year prior experience
  • Prior Meditech scheduling experience

Status:  ~ Casual to work 6-8 hours on Saturday or Sunday between the hours of 7:30am and 4:00pm.

ULTRASOUND TECHHospital

Description: Performs two dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for the diagnosis of disease and study of the malfunction of organs.

Performs a variety of examinations including abdomen, OB/GYN, small parts and vascular procedures on patients from infant to geriatrics.

Requires:

  • HSD/GED
  • Completion of an Ultrasound Training Program or graduation from an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology
  • Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Posses one (1) year of experience in Ultrasound Imaging
  • Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
  • Ability to perform Vascular Sonography

Prefer:

  • Posses three to five (3-5) years experience in Ultrasound Imaging

Description: To operate Spiral CT imaging systems to produce quality cross-sectional anatomical images.

Requires:

  • HSD/GED
  • Two (2) year accredited school for Radiologic Technology
  • Licensed by NYS DOH and Certification by ARRT
  • Posses one (1) year experience in CT

Prefers:

  • Computerized Tomography Certification

Description: Performs and assists with electrocardiograms, stress tests, LCG 24-hour Holter monitors, and electroencephalograms.

Reviews recordings for quality and clarity.  Types and copies all reports and distributes them to the proper departments and files.

Maintains ECG department equipment, & supplies. Assists in scheduling tests.

Requires:

  • HSD/GED
  • EKG experience
  • Direct patient care experience
  • BLS certified
  • Ability to type accurately

Status: PT 6:00am- 2:00pm and 2:00pm-10:00pmCasual position to work on an as needed basis.

Description: Perfoms cardiopulmonary evaluations, respiratory therapy treatments, techniques, and educate patients in their treatments.

Requires: Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy/Certificate in Respiratory Technician. Possess a working knowledge of respiratory care equipment, ECG equipment, medical terminology, etc and 1yr experience as a Respiratory Therapist (recent grads will be considered) in an acute care setting. LICENSURE AS A RESPIRATORY THERAPIST BY THE NEW YORK STATE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT AND REGISTRATION BY THE NATIONAL BOARD FOR RESPIRATORY CARE REQUIRED.

Prefers: Posses two (2) to three (3) years experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute care setting – six (6) months to one (1) year home care setting.
