PHYSICAL THERAPIST 

Description: To evaluate patients, develop patient care plans and administer or direct the administration of physical agents and procedures utilized in rehabilitative medicine as prescribed by a referring physician, taking into account the individual patient’s special physical or age-related needs.

Required: Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy and a valid New York State Physical Therapist License. 

Preferred: At least one year prior experience as a Staff Physical Therapist,  Medi-Tech (computer scheduling), and MS in Physical Therapy.

Status: Full Time 40 hours/TBD

 

NEW YORK STATE REGISTERED NURSE – NURSING FACILITY

Description: Renders professional care diagnosing and treating human responses to actual or potential health problems through such services as case-finding, health teaching, health counseling and provision of care supportive to or restorative of life and well-being.

Required: High school diploma or equivalent education plus graduation from an approved School of Nursing with AAS or diploma in nursing. Must have current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.

Status: Full Time 40 hours/week, 2:45pm – 11:15Pm.

NEW YORK STATE REGISTERED NURSE – MED SURG

Description: Renders professional care diagnosing and treating human responses to actual or potential health problems through such services as case-finding, health teaching, health counseling and provision of care supportive to or restorative of life and well-being.

Required: High school diploma or equivalent education plus graduation from an approved School of Nursing with AAS or diploma in nursing. Must have current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.

Status: Part Time 16 hours/week, 10:45pm – 7:15am.

 

NEW YORK STATE REGISTERED NURSE – PEDIATRICS

Description: Renders professional care diagnosing and treating human responses to actual or potential health problems through such services as case-finding, health teaching, health counseling and provision of care supportive to or restorative of life and well-being to pediatric patients.

Required: High school diploma or equivalent education plus graduation from an approved School of Nursing with AAS or diploma in nursing. Must have current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. BLS certification, ACLS certification, & PALS certification.  MUST possess 6 months to one year of post-grad nursing experience.

Prefered: One or more years experience in Pediatric Nursing.

Status: Full Time  40 hours/week, 10:45pm – 7:15am. Part Time 16 hours/week, 10:45pm – 7:15am.

 

NEW YORK STATE REGISTERED NURSE – PEDIATRICS/MED SURG

NEW YORK STATE REGISTERED NURSE – SPECIAL CARE UNIT

Description: Renders professional care diagnosing and treating human responses to actual or potential health problems through such services as case-finding, health teaching, health counseling and provision of care.

Required: High school diploma or equivalent education plus graduation from an approved School of Nursing with AAS or diploma in nursing. Must have current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. One to two years Critical care experience and ACLS and BLS certification.

Status: Part Time 16 hours,  10:45 pm – 7:15am 

 

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE – NURSING FACILITY

Description:Renders nursing care to patients within an assigned unit under the clinical supervision of a registered professional nurse, and in accordance with hospital policies and objectives. Performs a wide variety of patient care services for assigned patients.

Required: High school education or equivalent, plus graduation from an accredited Practical Nurse program. Valid New York State Registration Licensed Practical Nurses (L.P.N.). Three months on-the-job training provided.

Status: Part Time 16 hours/week, 2:45pm – 11:15pm shift.

 

CERTIFIED NURSE ASSISTANT/ NURSING FACILITY

Description: to perform various patient care activities and related services under the guidance of a Registered Professional Nurse and in accordance with Facility policies and objectives. Bathes and assists patients with personal hygiene. Takes and records patients temperature, pulse rate, respiration rate and blood pressure under the clinical guidance of a Registered Professional Nurse. Cleans, prepares and stores equipment trays and other supplies. Serves and collets patients’ food trays and provides between meal nourishments. Processes patients’ personal laundry.

Required: New York State Certification as a Nurse Assistant

NURING SUPERVISOR – NURSING HOME

Description: The purpose of the Nursing Supervisor job is to coordinate the activities of the resident care units. The Nursing Supervisor assists the clinical coordinator in departmental staffing on a daily basis, maintains approved standards of resident care within the Department of Nursing talking into account the individual resident’s special physical or age-related needs, and the investigation, and resolution of complaints. The Nursing Supervisor has responsibility for the operation of the entire Nursing Home in the absence of Administration with the support of the designated Director of Nursing on call.Work is performed in accordance with established Nursing standards, nursing department/unit structure, process and outcome standards, established regulatory and accreditation requirements, and the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the hospital and nursing department.

Required: Graduation from an accredited nursing program with Associate’s degree or diploma.Two years of medical/surgical experience or equivalent/ or two years of long term care nursing experience.

Prefer: Bachelor of Science/Nursing degree.

Status: Part time 16 hours/week, 2:45pm – 11:15pm. Two years nursing management experience in a skilled Nursing Facility.

 

COMPUTERIZED TOMOGRAPHY TECHNOLOGIST

Description: :To operate Spiral CT imaging system to produce quality cross-sectional Anatomical images.

Required: High School diploma or equivalent and Two year accredited school for Radiologic Technology or Accredited school for Computerized Tomography.

Licensed by the New York State of Department of Health.

Prefer: One year experience in Computerized Tomography

Status: Casual to work on an as-needed basis

 

REGISTERED RESPIRATORY THERAPIST – Licensure as a respiratory therapist by NYS Education Department and Registration by the National Board for Respiratory Care REQUIRED

Description: Performs cardiopulmonary evaluations, repiratory therapy treatments, techniques and educates patients in their treatment.  

Required Education: Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy & Certificate – Respiratory Technician.

Required Experience: Possess one (1) year experience as a Respiratory Therapist (new grads will be considered) in an acute care setting.   Possess working knowledge of respiratory care equipment ECG equipment, medical terminology, etc. PREFERRED: Possess two (2) to three (3) years experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute care setting – six (6) months to one (1) year home care setting.

Status: Full-time, varied shift

 

CLINICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST

Description:Performs various chemical, microscopic, morphologic, immunologic, bacteriologic and other tests to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Organizes and assesses all work assignments to determine priorities, to segregate test groups and to analyze results. Performs complex laboratory tests according to written protocol. Analyzes, interprets and evaluates the reliability of test results for which he/she is responsible. Exercises independent judgment in the conduct of the clinical laboratory with minimal supervision.

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or with a major in one of the biological or physical sciences and one year of clinical laboratory experience.

Status: Full Time  40 hours/week, varied 2nd & 3rd shifts, everyother weekend, with rotating Holiday & Overtime shifts.

 

PHLEBOTOMIST

Description: Obtains blood samples from patients for laboratory analysis using accepted clinical methods, including venipuncture and micro collection.

Required: High school diploma or equivalent and one month prior experience with drawing of blood samples.

Status: Casual positions, as needed. Varied hours.

 

SPEECH & LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

Description: To evaluate, diagnose and provide therapy to remediate disorders of speech, voice and language in children and adults as prescribed by a referring physician, taking into account the individual patient’s special physical or age-related needs.

Required: Masters Degree in Speech  and Language Pathology from an accredited college or university. New York State  Speech and Language Pathology License. PREFERRED: At least two years  prior experience working in an acute care setting with experience in videofluoroscopy. 

Status: Part Time 16 hours/week, varied.

 

CERTIFIED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT

Description:To implement the Nursing Facility’s Occupation Therapy programs and services under the guidance of a Licensed Occupational Therapist, in accordance with policies and procedures and within the scope of practice of a COTA.

Required: Certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant by the National Board of Certification of Occupational Therapists. Applicants must possess a working knowledge of NYS and federal codes pertaining to the age of the residents and patients served, knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span.

Status: Casual position to work on an as needed basis or experience with Meditech EHR information systems a plus
