VICE PRESIDENT OF PATIENT CARE SERVICES AND CHIEF NURSING OFFICER (CNO)

Description: Responsible for establishing and executing the vision and strategic plan for Patient Care Services.  This includes developing organization-wide evidence-based patient care standards, policies and procedures that determine how patients’ needs are assessed, evaluated, and met.  Works in collaboration with the Board of Directors, Management, Medical Staff and Clinical Leaders to optimize the quality of care and patient satisfaction.

Required:  Minimum of 5 years of management experience in acute care hospital operations.  Must have a BSN degree from an accredited Program of Professional Nursing.  Must be a team player and critical thinker with strong communication and decision making skills who is able to help our hospital continually improve and succeed.

Preferred: MSN or MHA

ULTRASOUND TECH

Description: Performs two dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for the diagnosis of disease and study of the malfunction of organs.  Perfroms a variety of examinations including abdomen, OB/GYN, small parts and vascular procedures on patients from infant to geriatrics.

Required: Completion of an Ultrasound training program or graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.  Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.  Posses one year of experience in Ultrasound Imaging.  Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.  Ability to perform Vascular Sonography.

Preferred: Posses three to five years experience in Ultrasound Imaging.

Status: Full Time 40 hours ~ 2nd shift

 

NEW YORK STATE REGISTERED NURSE – PEDIATRICS/MED SURG

Description: Renders professional care diagnosing and treating human responses to actual or potential health problems through such services as case-finding, health teaching, health counseling and provision of care.

Required: High school diploma or equivalent education plus graduation from an approved School of Nursing with AAS or diploma in nursing. Must have current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.

Prefer: One or more years experience in Pediatric Nursing.

Status: CASUAL

 

NEW YORK STATE REGISTERED NURSE – SPECIAL CARE UNIT

Description: Renders professional care diagnosing and treating human responses to actual or potential health problems through such services as case-finding, health teaching, health counseling and provision of care.

Required: High school diploma or equivalent education plus graduation from an approved School of Nursing with AAS or diploma in nursing. Must have current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. One to two years Critical care experience and ACLS and BLS certification.

Status: Part Time 16 hours,  10:45 pm – 7:15am                                          Part Time 16 hours 2:45pm – 11:15pm.

 

CERTIFIED NURSE ASSISTANT/ NURSING FACILITY

Description: to perform various patient care activities and related services under the guidance of a Registered Professional Nurse and in accordance with Facility policies and objectives. Bathes and assists patients with personal hygiene. Takes and records patients temperature, pulse rate, respiration rate and blood pressure under the clinical guidance of a Registered Professional Nurse. Cleans, prepares and stores equipment trays and other supplies. Serves and collets patients’ food trays and provides between meal nourishments. Processes patients’ personal laundry.

Required: New York State Certification as a Nurse Assistant

Status: part time, casual and perdiem positions available all shifts

 

NURING SUPERVISOR – NURSING HOME

Description: The purpose of the Nursing Supervisor job is to coordinate the activities of the resident care units. The Nursing Supervisor assists the clinical coordinator in departmental staffing on a daily basis, maintains approved standards of resident care within the Department of Nursing talking into account the individual resident’s special physical or age-related needs, and the investigation, and resolution of complaints. The Nursing Supervisor has responsibility for the operation of the entire Nursing Home in the absence of Administration with the support of the designated Director of Nursing on call.Work is performed in accordance with established Nursing standards, nursing department/unit structure, process and outcome standards, established regulatory and accreditation requirements, and the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the hospital and nursing department.

Required: Graduation from an accredited nursing program with Associate’s degree or diploma.Two years of medical/surgical experience or equivalent/ or two years of long term care nursing experience.

Prefer: Bachelor of Science/Nursing degree.

Status: Part time 16 hours/week, 2:45pm – 11:15pm. Two years nursing management experience in a skilled Nursing Facility.

 

CLINICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST

Description:Performs various chemical, microscopic, morphologic, immunologic, bacteriologic and other tests to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Organizes and assesses all work assignments to determine priorities, to segregate test groups and to analyze results. Performs complex laboratory tests according to written protocol. Analyzes, interprets and evaluates the reliability of test results for which he/she is responsible. Exercises independent judgment in the conduct of the clinical laboratory with minimal supervision.

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or with a major in one of the biological or physical sciences and one year of clinical laboratory experience.

Status: Full Time  40 hours/week, varied 2nd & 3rd shifts, everyother weekend, with rotating Holiday & Overtime shifts.

 

PHLEBOTOMIST

Description: Obtains blood samples from patients for laboratory analysis using accepted clinical methods, including venipuncture and micro collection.

Required: High school diploma or equivalent and one month prior experience with drawing of blood samples.

Status: Casual positions, as needed. Varied hours.

 

CERTIFIED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT

Description:To implement the Nursing Facility’s Occupation Therapy programs and services under the guidance of a Licensed Occupational Therapist, in accordance with policies and procedures and within the scope of practice of a COTA.

Required: Certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant by the National Board of Certification of Occupational Therapists. Applicants must possess a working knowledge of NYS and federal codes pertaining to the age of the residents and patients served, knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span.

Status: Casual position to work on an as needed basis or experience with Meditech EHR information systems a plus

 

PHYSICAL THERAPIST

Casual positons available . Must be a New York State Registered Physical Therapist.
