Hospital Openings

Description: To compound and dispense pharmaceuticals and perform all pharmaceutical functions necessary to provide the Hospital and Nursing Home with modern pharmaceutical practices which include unit dose drug distribution, controlled substance distribution, drug information, outpatient prescription dispensing and patient education.

Requires: Current/Valid NYS Pharmacist Registration.

Prefers:  One year of hospital and/or retail pharmacy exp.

 Status: FT 40 hours vary days



Description:  Assists the Pharmacist in technical, but non-professional, duties such as compounding, packaging, distribution, inventory control and storage of pharmaceuticals and other duties required to provide the Hospital and Nursing Facility with modern pharmacy practices.

Requires: HSD/GED

Prefers:  One (1) year of Pharmacy Technician Experience.

Status: Casual / As needed



Description:  To attend to the day to day operational needs of the department as it pertains to patient, resident, and retail customers.  Responsible for the closing duties of the department.  Conducts quality check of all food production for lunch and dinner.  Assists with special function service.  Maintains department sanitation standards.  Assists with the training and orientation of employees.

Requires: HSD/GED and two (2) years of food service related experience in a healthcare setting, posses working knowledge of commercial kitchen customer service, sanitation standards, management of frontline staff and regulatory requirements.

Prefers: Associates Degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts or Dietetics.  Experience managing Union Staff.

Status:  PT 16 ~ shift varies



Description: Operates the Hospital Gift Shop on weekends to accommodate the needs of patients, staff, and visitors.

Requires: HSD/GED.

Prefers: Experience on a cash register.

Status: 4hours a week, 11:00am – 3:00pm, every other Saturday and Sunday.



Description: Ensures that information system’s equipment is operational and accessible to users at all times.  Performs scheduled tasks required of the MIS department.

Requires: HSD/GED; Possess a diploma, certificate, or degree from a computer technology school/college; and One (1) year experience as a Computer Operator with one (1) year experience repairing PC’s and printers.

Prefers: Associates degree in a Computer Science and A+ certification; and Three (3) years experience as a Computer Operator with three (3) years experience repairing PC’s and printers.

Status:  PT-24~ 8:00am – 4:30pm



Description: Enforces the rules, regulations, and policies of the hospital as they relate to employee and other persons. Patrols the buildings and grounds of the Hospital campus to observe, prevent and reports incidents of fire, theft, vandalism, accidents and/or unauthorized entry.

Requires: HSD/GED, NYS Security Guard Certification, and 2 years working experience in a security guard position or 2 year degree in criminal justice.

Prefers: Experience in a healthcare setting.

Status:  Casual/as needed.



Description: Responsible for assisting in maintaining relationships with locally contracted pharmacies, managing contracts and payments,  auditing and reconciling reports from the pharmacy and the wholesaler on what is ordered, paid and dispense to patients. Duties include regulatory compliance for purchasing and 340 regulations.  Ensure pharmaceutical pricing validation and provide data for billing. Responsible for providing pharmaceutical supply expense related information and support by establishing and maintaining internal controls that provide accurate and timely expense and use histories to management for decision making.

Requires: AAS in Business Administration or equivalent education.  Possess one year of prior experience in the pharmacy industry and experience with pharmacy wholesaler software and ordering procedures.  Ability to understand Medical Terminology and use a computer to order pharmaceuticals and to generate reports for the 340B program using Word & Excel.

Status: PT 20~varies



Description: Participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of community outreach activities and grant administration, including, but not limited to the Vitality Plus Senior Membership Program, community education initiatives, health screenings and worksite wellness initiatives.

Requires: Associated degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s degree in medical Social Work or Health Education. Minimum of two (2) years professional & clinical experience working in a community setting. Excellent organizational and people skills. Valid driver’s license.

Prefers: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Master’s degree in Medical Social Work or Health Education. Experience with Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel.

Status: HealthLink~PT 16 8:30am – 5:00pm varies



Description:  Responsible for processing of surgical instruments/equipment, for processing Endoscopes with the steris Processor, for cleaning and sterilizing reusable supplies used throughout the hospital.

Requires: HSD/GED.  Certification in Central Sterilization. Ability to be accurate, follow set rules for cleaning, sterilizing and assembling supplies.  Good organizational skills and attention to detail.  Ability to work well with others. Prior experience in Central Supply Sterilization or Operating Room.  Knowledge of Surgical equipment. 

Status:  FT 40 ~ Days with rotating Saturdays; Casual/as needed.
