Non-Clinical Positions



Description:  To code and abstract patient’s final diagnoses and surgical procedures on all Ambulatory Surgery, Emergency  Department, Clinic and Observation medical records according to outpatient coding guidelines as necessary.

Requirements: High school diploma. Successful completion of courses in Anatomy/Physiology, Medical terminology and ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 coding. Minimum of 1 year coding experience in a medical setting if you possess a RHIA, RHIT, CCS or other hospital coding credential.  Minimum of 3 years coding experience in a medical setting if not credentialed. Experience in coding day  surgery records.

Preferred: AAS degree in Health Information Technology: professional designation as an RHIA, RHIT, CCS or other hospital coding credential. 2-3 years experience in ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 coding in an acute care facility if credentialed.  5 years experience in the above if not credentialed.

Status: Full time 40 hour position  from 8am -4:30pm, Monday- Friday.



Description:To oversee the coding staff, code and abstract inpatient and outpatient records utilizing the proper assignment or ICD-9CM and CPT-4 coding. To monitor unbilled reports and quality of documentation.  Trains coders and implements new procedures dealing with coding and quality.  Trains and works with physicians and other departments as necessary.

Requirements: High School diploma plus RHIA, RHIT or CCS professional designation.  Strong computer skills, a minimum of 2 years experience ICD-9CM and CPT-4  hospital coding and one year of supervisory experience.

Preferred: 6 years experience ICD-9-CM and COPT-4 hospital coding and 5 years supervisory experience.

Status:Full time 40 hours 8AM – 4:30pm
