VICE PRESIDENT INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY & CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER

Description: The Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer will report to the President/CEO and will be responsible for overseeing and directing the efficient use of computer and other information systems in alignment with the strategic plan of our organization.  This includes oversight of the selection, purchase, and implementation of all computer hardware and software.  Coordination of any departmental or organization wide system implementation, testing, conversion and continuous improvement projects.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a VP IT/CIO or as a strong IT Director in a hospital or healthcare setting. The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Healthcare, or Business Administration, and possession of a Masters in Computer Science or Information Technology is preferred.  Prior experience with Meditech and Medent systems and the Health Information Exchange of NY (HIXNY) is preferred but not necessary.  The right individual must work well with various groups such as management, physicians, and front line staff to meet organization goals and maintaining network integration and financial stability.   This individual will lead the search for the selection and implementation of a single organization-wide IT system to replace our two separate/ interfaced systems.  We are looking for a team player and broad thinker with strong communication and planning skills.  Candidate must be flexible, resourceful and thrive in an ever-changing environment!

PHARMACY 340B COORDINATOR

Description: Responsible for assisting in maintaining relationships with locally contracted pharmacies, managing contracts and payments,  auditing and reconciling reports from the pharmacy and the wholesaler on what is ordered, paid and dispensed to patients.

Duties include regulatory compliance for purchasing and 340 regulations.  Ensure pharmaceutical pricing validation and provide data for billing.

Responsible for providing pharmaceutical supply expense related information and support by establishing and maintaining internal controls that provide accurate and timely expense and use histories to management for decision making.

Requires:

  • HSD/GED
  • A.A.S. in Business Administration or equivalent education
  • One (1) year prior experience in the pharmacy industry
  • Experience with pharmacy wholesaler software and ordering procedures
  • Ability to understand Medical Terminology
  • Ability to use a computer to order pharmaceuticals and generate reports for the 340B program using Word & Excel

DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING OFFICE REP 

Description: The purpose of this job is to provide services that maintain the proper flow of patients, records and communication in the Diagnostic Imaging Department taking into account the individual patient’s special physical or age-related needs.

Requires:

  • Possesses an AAS Degree in Secretarial Science with Medical Terminology knowledge or equivalent education or equivalent experience. Must be able to type 50 words per minute.
  • Possesses two years prior secretarial experience and one year experience in Radiology.  Must be able to function well in an area of high-volume work and handle stressful situations effectively.  Requires very good communication skills and time management skills.

Description: Provides services that maintain the proper flow of patients, records and test results in the Laboratory Department.

Description: The purpose of this job is to perform all aspects of patient intake. Accurately gather insurance, demographic and diagnostic information for the proper methodology of billing.

Requires:

  • Possesses a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Possesses one or two years experience in a health care related field. Must have exceptional public relation skills as well as interpersonal skills.

Description:  The purpose of this job is to operate the switchboard/telephone/paging system for the Hospital and extended care Facility.

Requires:   Possess a High School diploma or equivalent education.

Requires:

  • Possess an Associate’s Degree in business or equivalent experience.
  • Possess three (3) years of prior secretarial experience. Experience in interviewing preferred.

  • Possess 2-year level of experience in commercial, institutional or industrial plant maintenance. Demonstrated mechanical/electrical ability.

Description:  The purpose of this job is to enhance cash collected by review and follow-up of third-party open accounts receivable, taking into account the individual patient’s special physical or age-related needs. 

Requires:  

  • Possess High School Diploma or equivalent education
  • Employee is trained and prepared to care for the age-specific group served on their assigned unit.
  • Possess Hospital third-party experience

Preferred:

  • Possess a two (2) year degree from an accredited college.
  • Possess two (2) years of third-party billing experience.

Status: PT 24 hours 8am-4:30pm

Description:  The purpose of this job is to perform all aspects of patient intake from scheduling appointments, insurance verification, pre-registration, pre-certification, medical necessity verification and copay/deductible collection.

Requires:  

  • Possess a High School diploma.
  • Possess previous experience in health care delivery system with expo-sure to patient registration.

Preferred:

  • Possess one or two years of college with completion of an approved program in medical terminology.
  • Possess prior experience with patient scheduling or unit coordinator.
  • Knowledge of third party payors desired.
