Description: The purpose of this job is to provide a strong well organized recreation program to meet the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive needs of residents seven days a week taking into account the individual resident’s special physical or age-related needs. To develop programming to stimulate individual interests in meaningful activities. To provide a therapeutic environment for all residents.

Requires:

  • HSD/GED
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with a major in therapeutic recreation or a major in recreation with an option in therapeutic recreation
  • Certification as a Recreation Therapist. Clearance through NYS Control Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment.
  • NYS Drives License
  • Working knowledge of Federal and State Medicare and Medicaid conditions of participation; NYS Code, Rule and Regulations

Prefers: Three years experience as a Recreational Therapist

PHARMACY SUPERVISOR – Hospital

Description: To direct and oversee the daily operations of the Pharmacy to provide pharmaceutical services to the Hospital, Nursing Home and Primary Care/Specialty Centers.

Compounds and dispenses pharmaceuticals and performs all pharmaceutical functions necessary to provide the organization with modern pharmaceutical practices including unit dose drug distribution, controlled substance distribution, drug information services and outpatient prescription dispensing and patient education/reconciliation.

Requires:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree or Doctor of Pharmacy
  • NYS Pharmacist License ~ current and valid
  • Experience as a Hospital Staff Pharmacist

Prefers:

  • One (1) to three (3) years management experience in healthcare

PHARMACY 340B COORDINATOR

Description: Responsible for assisting in maintaining relationships with locally contracted pharmacies, managing contracts and payments,  auditing and reconciling reports from the pharmacy and the wholesaler on what is ordered, paid and dispense to patients.

Duties include regulatory compliance for purchasing and 340 regulations.  Ensure pharmaceutical pricing validation and provide data for billing.

Responsible for providing pharmaceutical supply expense related information and support by establishing and maintaining internal controls that provide accurate and timely expense and use histories to management for decision making.

Requires:

  • HSD/GED
  • A.A.S. in Business Administration or equivalent education
  • One (1) year prior experience in the pharmacy industry
  • Experience with pharmacy wholesaler software and ordering procedures
  • Ability to understand Medical Terminology
  • Ability to use a computer to order pharmaceuticals and generate reports for the 340B program using Word & Excel

DATA QUALITY SPECIALIST- Hospital

Description: Codes and abstracts inpatient, observation, and clinic records utilizing the proper assignment of ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding.  Monitors the quality of all documentation.

Requires:

  • HSD/GED
  • Possess successful completion of courses in Anatomy/Physiology, medical terminology and ICD-10/CPT 4 coding.
  • Possess a minimum of three (3) years experience, ICD-10/CPT-4 coding in an acute care facility if credentialed.
  • Possess one (1) year experience in coding ER inpatient or DS records in an acute care facility if RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or other hospital coding credentialed.

Prefers:

  • Possess an AAS degree in Health Information Technology; professional designation as an RHIT, RHIS, or CCS.
  • Possess two (2) to three (3) years experience in ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding in an acute care facility if not credentialed.

Status: FT 40 Monday through Friday ~ Option to work from home 2-3 days per week after 6 months onsite.

  • Hospital third party billing experience
  • Knowledge of all third party rules and regulations

  • Two (2) years of third party billing experience

Status: PT 24~Monday 8:00am – 4:30pm and Tuesday through Friday 8:00am – 12:00pm

Description: To maintain all internal/external structural and mechanical integrity of all Hospital/Nursing Home properties and equipment.

Requires:

  • HSD/GED
  • Two (2) years of experience in commercial, institutional or industrial plant maintenance
  • Demonstrated mechanical/electrical ability
  • Ability to operate and understand power tools, job specific computer operations, electrical meters, switches and current panels.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
  • Ability to perform basic computational skills in order to troubleshoot and estimate material requirements.

Prefers:

  • Five (5) years of experience in health care plant maintenance with an understanding of carpentry, mechanical and electrical methods and techniques

Status:  FT 40 ~ 7:00am – 3:30pm  / primarily Monday – Friday with rotating weekends; Casual/as needed

MAINTENANCE MECHANIC II

Description:To maintain all internal/external structural & mechanical integrity of all Hospital and Nursing Home properties and equipment and to perform facility specific projects and renovations. This job specifically is intended to attract individuals who have gained a level of mastery in particular trades or technology, essential to the organization meeting its mission.

Requires:

  • HSD/GED
  • Eight (8) years of experience in commercial, institutional or industrial plant maintenance
  • Demonstrated mechanical/electrical ability
  • Ability to operate and understand power tools, job specific computer operations, electrical meters, switches and current panels.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
  • Ability to perform basic computational skills in order to troubleshoot and estimate material requirements.
  • Possess a level of mastery in one of the following:
    • Carpentry
    • Plumbing
    • Electrical
    • Steel Construction

Prefers:

  • Two (2) year degree in building system automation
  • Proficiency and licensure to handle HVAC building systems and pesticides
  • Possess experience in health care plant maintenance, with an established understanding of NFPA Life Safety Code 101, NYS-DOH, and DNV requirements for healthcare facilities.

Status:  FT 40 ~ 11:00pm – 7:30am

Description: Enforces the rules, regulations, and policies of the hospital as they relate to employee and other persons.

Patrols the buildings and grounds of the Hospital campus to observe, prevent and reports incidents of fire, theft, vandalism, accidents and/or unauthorized entry.

Requires:

  • HSD/GED
  • NYS Security Guard Certification ~ current and valid
  • Two (2) years working experience or Two (2) year degree in criminal justice

Prefers:

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting

Description:  Responsible for processing of surgical instruments/equipment, for processing Endoscopes with the steris Processor, for cleaning and sterilizing reusable supplies used throughout the hospital.

  • Certification in Central Sterilization
  • Ability to be accurate, follow set of rules for cleaning, sterilizing, and assembling supplies
  • Good organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Prior experience in Central Supply Sterilization or Operating Room
  • Knowledge of surgical equipment

Prefers:

  • Certification in Central Sterilization

Status:  PT 24 ~ hours vary with rotating Saturdays; Casual/as needed.
