Description:To perform all aspects of patient intake. Duties will include but not limited to  scheduling appointments, insurance verification, pre-registration, pre-certification and medical necessity verification. Responsible for staff scheduling, assists manager in maintaining the integrity of all data for all information gathered in the patient access department. Responsible for maintaining scheduling dictionaries and training staff members.

Requires:

  • Two (2) year college degree in Business Administration or Health Care related field.
  • Two (2) to three (3) years supervisory experience.
  • Two (2) years experience working in a health care system.
  • Possess knowledge of third party payor requirements.

Prefers:Prior Meditech experience and prior experience with patient scheduling.

PHARMACY 340B COORDINATOR

Description: Responsible for assisting in maintaining relationships with locally contracted pharmacies, managing contracts and payments,  auditing and reconciling reports from the pharmacy and the wholesaler on what is ordered, paid and dispensed to patients.

Duties include regulatory compliance for purchasing and 340 regulations.  Ensure pharmaceutical pricing validation and provide data for billing.

Responsible for providing pharmaceutical supply expense related information and support by establishing and maintaining internal controls that provide accurate and timely expense and use histories to management for decision making.

Requires:

  • HSD/GED
  • A.A.S. in Business Administration or equivalent education
  • One (1) year prior experience in the pharmacy industry
  • Experience with pharmacy wholesaler software and ordering procedures
  • Ability to understand Medical Terminology
  • Ability to use a computer to order pharmaceuticals and generate reports for the 340B program using Word & Excel

DATA QUALITY SPECIALIST- Hospital

Description: Codes and abstracts inpatient, observation, and clinic records utilizing the proper assignment of ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding.  Monitors the quality of all documentation.

Requires:

  • HSD/GED
  • Possess successful completion of courses in Anatomy/Physiology, medical terminology and ICD-10/CPT 4 coding.
  • Possess a minimum of three (3) years experience, ICD-10/CPT-4 coding in an acute care facility if credentialed.
  • Possess one (1) year experience in coding ER inpatient or DS records in an acute care facility if RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or other hospital coding credentialed.

Prefers:

  • Possess an AAS degree in Health Information Technology; professional designation as an RHIT, RHIS, or CCS.
  • Possess two (2) to three (3) years experience in ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding in an acute care facility if not credentialed.

Status: FT 40 Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm~ Option to work from home 2-3 days per week after 6 months onsite.

Description: The purpose of this job is to process admissions and assemble discharge and ambulatory surgery records. Performs Deficiency Analysis; ensures all loose reports are on record. Prepares folders for completed records to be filed into permanent file. Processes transcribed reports to appropriate area. Answers telephone requests for medical record information or retrieval of old records for nursing floors. Ensures baby names and medical record numbers are corrected in central index. Provides billing information for Patient Financial Services. Retrieves records for outside reviews.

Requires:

  • HSD/GED
  • Working knowledge of confidentiality policy, Medical Records’ policies and procedures for the tasks to be performed.
  • Basic knowledge of health record content and sequence.

Prefers:

  • Knowledge in medical terminology
  • 1-2 years experience in a Medical Records/ H.I.M. department

Status:  FT 40 hours 8am-4:30pm

Status: FT40 hours 12:30-11pm, PT SAT & SUN 2:30pm- 11pm and MON 3:00pm-7:00pm

Description:To provide the Patient Accounts Manager with clerical support and assistance in order to maintain and improve the fiscal services systems in the area of third party billings, cash posting, charge posting, department statistics and various cash checking accounts, taking into account the individual patient’s special physical or age-related needs.

Requires:

  • HSD/GED
  • Possess two years prior billing experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Possess a working knowledge of third party billing regulations and requirements.

Prefers: Possess a two-year degree in business or accounting.

Assignments to include RefrigerationEquipment Service & Maintenance; Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting and Building Management Controls Operation & Maintenance.

Requires:

  • HSD/GED
  • A level of mastery in one of the following: carpentry, plumbing, electrical or steel-construction.
  • 8 year experience in commercial, institutional, industrial, or military plant maintenance
  •  Demonstrates mechanical and electrical ability.

Prefers: Experience in health care plant maintenance, with an established understanding of NFPA Life Safety Code 101, NYS-DOH, and DNV requirements for healthcare facilities.

Status: FT 40, 3:00PM-11:30PM
