DIRECTOR of ENGINEERING: The successful individual MUST have exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills with ability to manage and coordinate the day to day operations of the engineering department and its’ staff; strong working knowledge of departmental budgets and managing and overseeing capital projects for the entire facility; is responsible for developing construction projects for the organization; and must have a proven record of successfully managing engineering, safety, & facility programs.

Requires: BA in Engineering or related field; working knowledge of MEP systems; prior professional experience in hospital/nursing home setting; departmental budget processes & capital projects; as well as familiarity with ICRA, MFPA Life Safety Codes, DNV Standards, ISO Standards, OSHA and DOH Guidelines, and Typical Building Codes; as well as previous professional experience in hospital/nursing home setting are all preferred.

DIRECTOR of PHARMACY: The successful individual is responsible for all activities within the pharmacy, including pharmacy staff oversight, budget, formulary management (as approved by medical staff), medication purchasing and dispensing, and compliance with state and federal regulation and with our accreditation agency, DNV. Will collaborate with hospital and medical staff, intra/inter departmentally, to promote a culture of safe, reliable and fiscally responsible medication management throughout the organization. Participates in and, where applicable, implements hospital initiatives that promote patient-centered, safe and high quality care.

Requires: BS in Pharmacy(advanced degree MS, MBA, Pharm.D preferred); current/valid NYS Pharmacist license; 3 -5 yrs of management experience in a hospital setting, knowledge of pharmacy regulatory requirements; exp with accreditation surveys, DNV or TJC; strong computer skills; exp with MEDITECH platform; and strong clinical, financial, operational, interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.

BOOKKEEPER/PAYROLL

Description:Provides the Payroll Supervisor with confidential payroll & clerical support/ assistance, in order to maintain the Hospital’s timekeeping and payroll systems.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: entering employee data in the MEDITECH payroll system, verifying employee payroll records using the KRONOS Timekeeper system and ensuring all employees are paid in compliance with Hospital policies and procedures; transferring data via interface to the MEDITECH payroll system and processing all timecards and ancillary payroll reports, preparing payroll checks for weekly distribution to departments, electronic transfer of funds for weekly direct deposits and federal and state taxes. Ability to verify quarterly tax data and prepare government tax reports (941 and NYS-45), prepare A/P vouchers for all month-end withholdings, prepare all outside and in-house wage requests, weekly logging of all disability payments as well as quarterly and annual reconciliation of payments and taxes withheld.

Requires: A.A.S. in Accounting or equivalent, minimum 2yrs prior payroll exp., strong keyboard skills, knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office Word. Excellent organizational & interpersonal skills, ability to work with & communicate well with others as well as a high degree of confidentiality are required. Working knowledge of KRONOS Timekeeper & MEDITECH systems helpful.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Description: Provides clerical support to the VP of the Primary/Specialty Care Centers.

Requires: HSD; ICD9-CPT4 coding knowledge; Must know MEDENT, MEDITECH, Insurance Rules & Regulations; ability to multi-task & be detail oriented; 5yrs exp in an office setting.  Knowledge of Grants, Meaningful Use, & Patient-Centered Medical Home; ability to learn payroll, budgeting, & accounts payable.

Prefers: 2yr degree in Business Administration or related field; 2 or more yrs exp in private practice.

STERILIZATION/PROCESSING TECHNICIAN

Description:  Responsible for processing of surgical instruments/equipment, for processing Endoscopes wit the steris Processor, for cleaning and sterilizing reusable supplies used throughout the hospital.

Requires: HSD/GED.  Ability to be accurate, follow set rules for cleaning, sterilizing and assembling supplies.  Good organizational skills and attention to detail.  Ability to work well with others.

Prefers: Prior experience in Central Supply Sterilization or Operating Room.  Knowledge of Surgical equipment.  Certification in Central Sterilization.

Status:  Casual/As needed

 

OFFICE COORDINATOR

Description: Coordinates daily activities of the site by performing administrative clerical duties and assist the Provider with patient care.

Requires: HSD/GED; One (1) year experience in a physician’s office or patient care setting ~ Pediatrics, Woman’s Health, Family Practice. Experience using MEDENT, MEDITECH, EMR systems. Ability/experience in vital signs, phlebotomy, & BLS certified. Ability/experience in HMO referrals, knowledgeable of insurances, and processing eligibility verifications. Experience using multi-phone lines. Position requires walking, standing for long periods, & sitting.

Prefers: Two (2) years experience in a physician’s office or patient care setting.

Status: Primary/Specialty Care Centers~PT 20 Every Saturday & Sunday with varied working hours.

 

 

COMMUNITY HEALTH EDUCATOR

Description: Participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of community outreach activities and grant administration, including, but not limited to the Vitality Plus Senior Membership Program, community education initiatives, health screenings and worksite wellness initiatives.

Requires: Associated degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s degree in medical Social Work or Health Education. Minimum of two (2) years professional & clinical experience working in a community setting. Excellent organizational and people skills. Valid driver’s license.

Prefers: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Master’s degree in Medical Social Work or Health Education. Experience with Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel.

CODING SPECIALIST

Description: Codes and enters into Medent records utilizing proper assignment of ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 coding. All surgical in-patient and out-patient records with the correct ICD-9, CPT and modifiers.

Requires: HSD/GED.  Successful completion of courses in Anatomy/Physiology, medical terminology and ICD-9 CM/CPT coding.  Minimum of 3 yrs experience in a medical office setting, if not RHIA, RHIT, or CCS credentialed.

Prefers: Possess an AAS degree in Health Information Technology professional designation as a ART, RRA or CCS. Two to three years experience in ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 coding in a medical office if credentialed. Five years experience in ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 coding in a medical office setting if not credentialed.

PATIENT/RESIDENT’S EXPERIENCE SUPERVISOR

Description: Tends to the day to day operational needs of the dietary department as it pertains to the overall patient/resident experience.  Responsible for the opening duties of the dietary department in addition to working directly with the patients/residents.  Conducts quality check of all food production for breakfast and lunch.  Maintains department sanitation standards.  Assists wit the training and orientation of dietary employees.

Requires: HSD/GED; posses two (2) years experience in a high volume institutional or commercial kitchen setting; Posses a working knowledge of commercial kitchen customer service, sanitation standards, management of frontline staff and regulartory requirements.

Prefers: Associates Degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or Dietetics; Experience managing union staff.

HIM DATA QUALITY SPECIALIST/LEAD CODER

Description: Oversees coding staff, code and abstract inpatient/outpatient records utilizing the proper assignment or ICD-9CM and CPT-4 coding. Monitors unbilled reports and quality of documentation.  Trains coders and implements new procedures. Trains and works with physicians and others as needed.

Required: HSD plus RHIA, RHIT or CCS professional designation.  Strong computer skills, a minimum of 2 yrs. exp ICD-9CM and CPT-4  hospital coding. Must have 1yr of supervisory exp.

Preferred:  A minimum of 5 years experience years  ICD-9-CM and CPT-4  hospital coding.  5 years supervisory experience

Status: FT40, 8am -4:30pm, Monday- Friday.
