Description: Performs all aspects of patient intake.  Duties will include but not limited to scheduling appointments, insurance verification, pre-registration, pre-certification, and medical necessity verifications.

Requires:

  • HSD/GED
  • Previous experience in health care delivery systems with exposure to patient registration.
  • Working knowledge of office operations and computer skills.
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with and communicate well with all levels of the organization and the public.

  • Completion of an approved program in medical terminology.

DIRECTOR OF PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT- Hospital

Job Purpose:  The purpose of this job is to implement and coordinate the Hospital’s Performance Improvement, Risk Management and Patient Safety programs in accordance with the organization’s mission and strategic plan, Federal and State statues and regulations, and the requirements of the Hospital’s general and professional liability carrier.

The essential job functions of this position include but not limited to:

  • Designs, implements and coordinates the Hospital’s Performance Improvement and Risk Management Programs in accordance with the organization’s mission and strategic plan, Federal and State statues and regulations, and requirements of the Hospital general and professional liability carriers.
  • Coordinates the Hospital’s Risk Management Program.
  • Coordinates the Patient Safety Program as the Patient Safety Officer.
  • Coordinates the Medical Staff Performance Improvement Program
  • Functions as the Coordinator for DNV survey preparation and surveys
  • Coordinates NYS DOH visits, responses to patient complaints submitted to the Department.
  • Acts as the Patient Complaint Officer
  • Prepares bimonthly summary report of PI activities for review by the PI committee of the Board.                            

Requires:

  • AAS with 3 years experience or minimum 3-5 years equivalent education or experience in the Healthcare field
  • 3 years experience in the fields of Healthcare performance/quality improvement, medical staff administration, and/or risk management
  • CPHQ- Certified Professional In Health Quality
  • Possess a working knowledge of confidentiality policy, Medical Records’ policies and procedures for the tasks to be performed
  • Possess a basic knowledge of health record content and sequence

Prefers:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing-AAS-BS
  • CQI, NYS experience

PATIENT/RESIDENT EXPERIENCE SUPERVISOR- NUTRITION/HOSPITAL

Description: The purpose of this job is to attend to the day to day operational needs of the department, as it pertains to the patient and resident experience. This position is also responsible for the opening duties of the department, in addition to working directly with patients and residents.  Conducts quality check of all food production for breakfast and lunch.  Maintains department sanitation standards.  Assists with the training and orientation of employees.  Provides corrective actions for employees are required.

Description: To direct and oversee the daily operations of the Pharmacy to provide pharmaceutical services to the Hospital, Nursing Home and Primary Care/Specialty Centers.

Compounds and dispenses pharmaceuticals and performs all pharmaceutical functions necessary to provide the organization with modern pharmaceutical practices including unit dose drug distribution, controlled substance distribution, drug information services and outpatient prescription dispensing and patient education/reconciliation.

Requires:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree or Doctor of Pharmacy
  • NYS Pharmacist License ~ current and valid
  • Experience as a Hospital Staff Pharmacist

Prefers:

  • One (1) to three (3) years management experience in healthcare

PHARMACY 340B COORDINATOR

Description: Responsible for assisting in maintaining relationships with locally contracted pharmacies, managing contracts and payments,  auditing and reconciling reports from the pharmacy and the wholesaler on what is ordered, paid and dispense to patients.

Duties include regulatory compliance for purchasing and 340 regulations.  Ensure pharmaceutical pricing validation and provide data for billing.

Responsible for providing pharmaceutical supply expense related information and support by establishing and maintaining internal controls that provide accurate and timely expense and use histories to management for decision making.

Requires:

  • HSD/GED
  • A.A.S. in Business Administration or equivalent education
  • One (1) year prior experience in the pharmacy industry
  • Experience with pharmacy wholesaler software and ordering procedures
  • Ability to understand Medical Terminology
  • Ability to use a computer to order pharmaceuticals and generate reports for the 340B program using Word & Excel

Description: Codes and abstracts inpatient, observation, and clinic records utilizing the proper assignment of ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding.  Monitors the quality of all documentation.

Requires:

  • HSD/GED
  • Possess successful completion of courses in Anatomy/Physiology, medical terminology and ICD-10/CPT 4 coding.
  • Possess a minimum of three (3) years experience, ICD-10/CPT-4 coding in an acute care facility if credentialed.
  • Possess one (1) year experience in coding ER inpatient or DS records in an acute care facility if RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or other hospital coding credentialed.

Prefers:

  • Possess an AAS degree in Health Information Technology; professional designation as an RHIT, RHIS, or CCS.
  • Possess two (2) to three (3) years experience in ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding in an acute care facility if not credentialed.

Status: FT 40 Monday through Friday ~ Option to work from home 2-3 days per week after 6 months onsite.

  • Medical Assistant, LPN, teaching / science / medical background

Prefers:

  • Five (5) years of experience in health care plant maintenance with an understanding of carpentry, mechanical and electrical methods and techniques

Description: Enforces the rules, regulations, and policies of the hospital as they relate to employee and other persons.

Requires:

  • HSD/GED
  • NYS Security Guard Certification ~ current and valid
  • Two (2) years working experience or Two (2) year degree in criminal justice

Prefers:

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting

  • Certification in Central Sterilization
  • Ability to be accurate, follow set of rules for cleaning, sterilizing, and assembling supplies

  • Prior experience in Central Supply Sterilization or Operating Room
  • Knowledge of surgical equipment

Prefers:

  • Certification in Central Sterilization
