Maternity –  2:45pm – 11:15pm (16 hours)

SCU – 6:45pm – 7:15am (2) & 10:45pm – 7:15am (2) (40 hours), 2:45pm – 11:15pm (2) & 2:45pm – 3:15am (2) (40 hours)

OR – 6:45am – 3:15pm (40 hours)

Recovery Room – 8:00am – 4:30pm (24 hours)

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE

Description: Renders nursing care to patients within an assigned unit under the clinical supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse, and in accordance with hospital/nursing home policies and objectives. Performs a wide variety of patient care services for assigned patients.

Requires:

  • HSD/GED
  • Successful completion/graduation from an accredited Practical Nurse Program
  • NYS LPN License ~ current and valid
  • BLS certified
  • Completion of IV course & blood administration course within 3 months of hire/accepting position

Status:   OR – 6:45am – 3:15pm (40 hours)

NURSE MANAGER

Description:  The Nurse Manager is the first line manager designated as the leader for a specified nursing unit, its resident population, and the assigned staff.  The Nurse Manager has 24 hour responsibility and accountability for all resident care activities taking into account the individual resident’s special physical or age-related needs.

Work is performed in accordance with established hospital and nursing home standards, nursing department/unit process and outcome standards, established regulatory and accreditation requirements, and consistent with the philosophy, goals and objectives of the hospital and nursing department.

Requires:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program with Associate’s degree or diploma.  Employee is trained and prepared to care for the age-specific group (adult, geriatric) served on their assigned unit.
  • Prefer Bachelor of Science/Nursing degree.
  • Current NYS license for Registered Professional Nurse; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Two (2) years of medical/surgical experience or two (2) years of long term care.
  • Prefer two (2) years of Nursing management experience in a skilled nursing facility.
