Nathan Littauer Hospital sponsors several Special Events
throughout the year, including the following:
Healthy Heart Day - February is American Heart Month...offers
the general public an opportunity to get cholesterol/HDL/glucose
blood tests, have their blood pressure checked, get a body fat
analysis, learn their body mass index, talk with health - nutrition -
exercise professionals about making heart-healthy lifestyle changes,
and much more!
Images Of A Woman - A women's wellness conference held in
Spring and offered to ALL women...treat yourself, your employee,
a friend, or a loved one to this special event. Features a humorous
keynote speaker, delicious meal, exhibitors, vendors, a Chinese
raffle, and lots of FUN!
The EVENT - An ever-changing, extraordinary gala to benefit
Nathan Littauer Hospital. Held in Spring, it is our largest event with
annual proceeds of $100,000. Every year we choose a different
theme with decor and food to match!
Adirondack Challenge - Our annual golf tournament to benefit
the Littauer Primary Care Center in Speculator, NY. Organized and
supported by residents served by this Primary Care Center, the
Challenge is always popular and always sold out!
Camp SuperStarrs - A medically staffed day camp in July for
kids ages 5-16 with chronic breathing disorders (ex. asthma),
diabetes, eating disorders or limited physical capacity. Traditional
camp activities, learning and FUN go hand-in-hand!
Women's Health Screening - For women without health insurance
age 40 - 64. Held in October, includes a free breast exam, mammogram,
pelvic exam, pap smear, cholesterol + glucose blood test, colorectal
screening kit, bone density/osteoporosis scan (age 50+), health &
wellness information, and much more!
Harvest Health Fair - Healthy fun for everyone...bring the whole
family! Traditionally held the last Friday in October, features free
health screenings, demonstrations, exhibits, vendors, health &
wellness information, refreshments, activities, entertainment, and
much more!
