“We invite the people of Amsterdam back to a routine of good health.”
AMSTERDAM, NY, GLOVERSVILLE, NY – Nathan Littauer’s New Primary/Specialty/Urgent Care Facility in Amsterdam, NY, opened its doors in December of 2021. Sharing the space with Albany Med, the healthcare organizations expanded healthcare access for adults and children in the Mohawk Valley region. Nathan Littauer and Albany Med evenly split the $5.6 million cost of land acquisition and construction of the facility. Nathan Littauer’s offices fill two-thirds’ of the 10,000-square-foot facility. The new care center is located at 375 Golf Course Road in Amsterdam’s Route 30 retail corridor.

Located just 20 minutes West from Schenectady, and 35 minutes Northwest from Albany, the new Nathan Littauer Care Center offers its patients quick walk-ins, short wait times, and quality, compassionate care. “We are here for the people of our community,” says Nathan Littauer’s Amsterdam Primary/Urgent Care Center Manager Taylor Bornt. “We are open 12 hours every day, 363 days of the year. We are patient-oriented, and you will get the care you need and deserve, even on the weekends with our Quick N Sick program.”
The new care center offers patients accessible healthcare and services such as: lab draws, specimen collections, primary and urgent care, and aims to offer pediatrics, X-rays, and CT scans in the coming months. “We are here every day and during most holidays, excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas,” adds Bornt. “We are here to care for you when you need us. You’ll receive convenient care from providers you can trust.”
Joseph Carrozza, MD, is one of Nathan Littauer’s new Internal Medicine providers, practicing at the new facility. Joining Littauer in December 2021, Dr. Carrozza brings nearly 40 years of healthcare and medical experience to the Amsterdam community. “I want the people of Amsterdam to know that they will receive the care they need from a caring, competent physician,” says Joseph Carrozza, MD. “You’ll receive access to specialties, as needed – no unnecessary referrals. I also speak Spanish.”

As an Internal Medicine provider, also more commonly known as an “Internist,” Dr. Carrozza sees patients over 18 years of age. As an internist, he prevents, diagnoses, and treats diseases for all adults, from chronically ill patients, to short-term care. “I see a wide range of patients,” he adds. “I feel it is important to listen to the patient and make sure they feel heard to ensure an accurate diagnosis. That’s why I am the doctor that I would want seeing and treating my own family members.”
“The best part of my day as a medical provider, is leaving an examination room with a patient who is satisfied with their medical visit, and establishing a relationship where we can work together in addressing their health concerns” adds Dr. Carrozza. “We invite the people of Amsterdam back to a routine of good health.”
