GLOVERSVILLE, NY – Governor Kathy Hochul proclaimed August 29, 2022 as Healthcare Auxilian Day. According to the Healthcare Association of New York State, The governor’s proclamation acknowledges that healthcare Auxilians give countless hours of service annually to our healthcare facilities and communities, are healthcare advocates, and community ambassadors who continually and effectively respond to community needs.
In particular, Nathan Littauer Hospital & Nursing Home’s Auxiliary and Volunteers support Nathan Littauer’s patient and family care services in various ways, including its gift shop and fundraising activities. “Our Auxiliary and Volunteers are vital to this hospital and to this community,” Nathan Littauer’s Director of Volunteer Services Susan E. McNeil said. “The Auxilians have been a part of this community since 1894. With their devotion, dedication, time and energy, they continue to help Nathan Littauer connect with its patients and community members.”
