Description:  The purpose of this job is to code and abstract inpatient, observation and clinic records utilizing the proper assignment of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding.  Monitors quality of documentation.

  • Possess successful completion of courses in Anatomy/Physiology, medical terminology and ICD9CM or ICD10 and CPT coding.

ENGINEERING MANAGER

Description:  This position is responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation and supervision of the daily and long-range function and maintenance of the physical plant.

PATIENT FINANCIAL SERVICES BILLING SUPERVISOR

Description:  The purpose of this job is to supervise inpatient and outpatient billing as well as patient counseling.  Act as a liaison between the hospital and third party payors.  Coordinate all switchboard staffing levels.

Description:  The purpose of this job is to attend to the day-to-day operational needs of the department as it pertains to the patient and resident experience.  This position is also responsible for the opening duties of the department, in addition to working directly with patients and residents.  Conducts quality check of all food production for lunch and dinner.  Maintains department sanitation standards.  Assists with the training and orientation of employees.  Provides corrective actions for employees as required.

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prefer an Associate’s degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts or Dietetics.
  • Possess a minimum of two (2) years in a high volume institutional or commercial kitchen setting; experience managing union staff preferred.

MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

Description:  The purpose of this job is to maintain all internal/external structural & mechanical integrity of all hospital and nursing home properties and equipment and to perform facility specific projects and renovations.  

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess a level of mastery in one of the following: carpentry, plumbing, electrical or steel construction.  Proficiency and licensure to handle HVAC building systems, pesticides and/or a two year degree in building systems automation preferred.
  • Possess eight (8) year level of experience in commercial, institutional, industrial or military plant maintenance.  Demonstrate mechanical and electrical ability.
  • Prefer experience in health care plant maintenance with an established understanding of NFPA Life Safety Code 101, NYS-DOH and DNV requirements for healthcare facilities.
  • Ability to operate and understand power tools, job specific computer operations, electrical meters, electrical switches and circuit panels.  Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.  Ability to perform basic computational skills in order to trouble shoot and estimate materials requirements.
  • Fundamentals of mechanical equipment including pumps, fans, boilers, HVAC equipment appropriate to the needs of the facility.

AMBULATORY ANALYST

Description:  The Ambulatory Analyst supports the ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting and optimization of the electronic medical record in the ambulatory environment.  Supports end users through clinical, front office and financial functionality working closely with hospital counterparts within a single, integrated system.  Closely follow operation, regulatory or strategic initiative with the primary and specialty care settings as they relate to the presentation, capture, reporting and standardization of data.  Assist with advanced training for roles specific to the primary and specialty care setting, as it relates to best practices utilization of the electronic medical record.  

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prefer two (2) year degree in Business Administration, Health Administration or related field or substitutable job experience.
  • Strong background in designing, implementing and supporting a Meditech Expanse Ambulatory or equivalent environment.  Five (5) years of progressive responsibility working in a primary or specialty care setting.
  • Clinical Informatics Certification, transcript of software training.
  • Knowledge of New York State Department of Health Code, Physician Quality Reporting Programs and MGMA recommendations.  Knowledge of Information System utilized by NLH to support/document patient care.

LABORATORY IT ANALYST

Description:  The Laboratory IT Analyst perfor5ms and monitors laboratory computer operations and production functions:  monitors and supports Laboratory reporting functions and equipment; performs routine hardware and software maintenance, including file definition for all Laboratory departments and instruments; performs daily, weekly and monthly backups of the system; performs historical data functions; uses medical technology knowledge to promote laboratory operations into information systems applications.  Performs and reviews various system backups, routine hardware and software maintenance.  Responsible for all aspects of patient reporting with emphasis on physician electronic medical records (eMR’s) as well as hardware and software upgrades and maintenance.
