AMBULATORY ANALYST

LABORATORY IT ANALYST

Description:  The Laboratory IT Analyst perfor5ms and monitors laboratory computer operations and production functions:  monitors and supports Laboratory reporting functions and equipment; performs routine hardware and software maintenance, including file definition for all Laboratory departments and instruments; performs daily, weekly and monthly backups of the system; performs historical data functions; uses medical technology knowledge to promote laboratory operations into information systems applications.  Performs and reviews various system backups, routine hardware and software maintenance.  Responsible for all aspects of patient reporting with emphasis on physician electronic medical records (eMR’s) as well as hardware and software upgrades and maintenance.

Description:  To maintain all internal/external structural & mechanical integrity of all Hospital and Nursing Home properties and equipment and to perform facility specific projects and renovations.

  • Possess a level of mastery in one of the following: carpentry, plumbing, electrical or steel construction.  Proficiency and licensure to handle HVAC building systems, pesticides and/or a two (2) year degree in building system automation preferred.
  • Possess eight (8) year level of experience in commercial, institutional, industrial, or military plant maintenance.  Demonstrates mechanical and electrical ability.
  • Prefer experience in health care plant maintenance with an established understanding of NFPA Life Safety Code 101, NYS-DOH and DNV requirements for healthcare facilities.
  • Ability to operate and understand power tools, job specific computer operations, electrical meters, electrical switches and circuit panels.  Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.  Ability to perform basic computational skills in order to troubleshoot and estimate material requirements.
