  • Prefer Bachelor of Science/Nursing degree.

  • Prefer certification in area of practice.

 NURSING SUPERVISOR

Description:  The purpose of the Nursing Supervisor job is to coordinate the activities of the patient care units in a centralized nursing environment.  The Nursing Supervisor assists the Nurse Managers in departmental staffing on a daily basis, maintains approved standards of patient care within the Division of Nursing taking into account the individual patient’s special physical or age-related needs, investigates and resolves complaints and maintains a safe environment for staff and patients.  The Nursing Supervisor has responsibility for the operation of the entire hospital in the absence of Department Heads and Administration with the support of the designated “Administrator-on-call”.

Requires:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Description:  The Nursing Clinical Applications Coordinator is an RN who functions in collaboration with the Information Services staff, to build, design, test, implement and maintain clinical information systems, especially as they relate to clinical documentation, established protocols of care and practice, quality and patient safety.  Evaluates, develops, implements, integrates the electronic medical record in conjunction with the other clinical departments and leads training pertinent to the clinical staff use of the clinical information systems.  The RN supports clinical, informatics principles including one patient, one record, one system.

  • Previous experience in Meditech applications.

Description:  The Float Pool Licensed Practical Nurse II is a care provider who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame on an assigned unit within the limits of his/her education and the Nurse Practice Act taking into account the individual patient’s special physical or age-related needs.  The limits of the Licensed Practical Nurse II responsibility is defined by hospital policy in keeping with the New York State Code, Rules and Regulations and the NYS Education Department.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program or completion of required components to satisfy LPN licensing examination.
  • Employee is trained and prepared to care for the age-specific group served on their assigned unit.
