Gloversville, NY — Nathan Littauer Hospital & Nursing Home is pleased to welcome Cesar Del Aguila, MD, to its Cardiology practice, further expanding access to specialized cardiovascular care for patients throughout the Fulton-Montgomery County region.

Dr. Del Aguila joins Nathan Littauer’s growing Cardiology team alongside Syed Iqbal, MD, who joined the organization in 2024, as well as Alexandra Mazzariello, PA. Together, they provide comprehensive cardiac services to Littauer patients, helping address the increasing need for specialized heart care throughout Fulton and surrounding counties.

Cesar Del Aguila, MD – Cardiologist

Board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine and certified by the American Board of Nuclear Cardiology, Dr. Del Aguila brings extensive training and experience in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of cardiovascular conditions. Dr. Del Aguila completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, followed by a fellowship in Cardiology at Wayne State University in Detroit. He earned his medical degree from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru.

His interest in cardiology began early, inspired by his grandfather, a physician who practiced during the early years of modern medicine.

“My grandfather was fascinated by the emerging methods used to diagnose heart attacks with simple tools,” said Dr. Del Aguila. “Later, during my training at Henry Ford Hospital, I was fortunate to be mentored by an exceptional cardiologist who encouraged me to pursue this specialty. Those experiences helped shape the path that ultimately led me to cardiology.”

Throughout his career, Dr. Del Aguila has been drawn to the ever-evolving nature of cardiovascular medicine and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives.

Dr. Del Aguila believes successful cardiac care extends beyond diagnosis and treatment. His approach emphasizes patient education, communication, and partnership.

“Every patient is unique,” he said. “While medicine provides the science, caring for patients requires understanding their individual circumstances and helping them understand their condition in a way that makes sense to them. My goal is to ensure patients feel informed, supported, and confident in their care.”
