Nursing Supervisor

Description:  The purpose of the Nursing Supervisor job is to coordinate the activities of the patient care units in a centralized nursing environment. The Nursing Supervisor assists the Nurse Managers in departmental staffing on a daily basis, maintains approved standards of patient care within the Division of Nursing taking into account the individual patient’s special physical or age-related needs, investigates and resolves complaints and maintains a safe environment for staff and patients. The Nursing Supervisor has responsibility for the operation of the entire hospital in the absence of Department Heads and Administration with the support of the designated “Administrator-on-call”.

Requires:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program with Associate’s degree or diploma.  Employee is trained and prepared to care for the age-specific group served on their assigned unit.
  • Prefer Bachelor of Science/Nursing degree.
  • Possess current NYS license for Registered Professional Nurse; American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications within the first six (6) months of hire or transfer.
  • Possess five (5) years of medical/surgical experience or equivalent.
  • Prefer two (2) years nursing management experience.
  • Possess a working knowledge of NYS Department of Health Code, Rules and Regulations, accreditation requirements, administrative policies, nursing structure standards, procedures and protocols, union contracts, child abuse reporting, OSHA, infection control, safety, body mechanics, scope of practice, documentation computers and communication systems.  Possess knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on their assigned unit.  Possess knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.

Status:   Casual (Varied)

Rate of Pay: $33.92 – $ /hour

Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor

****There is a $15,000 sign on bonus for full time evening/night Nursing Supervisors****

Description:  The purpose of the Nursing Supervisor job is to coordinate the activities of the resident care units.  The Nursing Supervisor assists the clinical coordinator in departmental staffing on a daily basis, maintains approved standards of resident care within the Department of Nursing taking into account the individual resident’s special physical or age-related needs, and the investigation and resolution of complaints.  The Nursing Supervisor has responsibility for the operation of the entire Nursing Home in the absence of Administration with the support of the designated Director of Nursing on call.

Requires: 

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program with Associate’s Degree or diploma.  Employee is trained and prepared to care for the age-specific group (adult, geriatric) served on their assigned unit.
  • Prefer Bachelor of Science/Nursing degree.
  • Possess current NYS license for Registered Nurse.  Basic Life Support certification.
  • Two (2) years of medical/surgical experience or two (2) years long term care experience.
  • Prefer two (2) years of nursing management experience in a skilled nursing facility.

Staff Nurse

Description: Renders professional care diagnosing and treating human responses to actual or potential health problems through such services as case-finding, health teaching, health counseling and provision of care supportive to or restorative of life and well-being.

Requires:

  • HSD/GED
  • AAS or diploma from an approved School of Nursing
  • NYS RN License ~ current and valid
  • ACLS certified
  • Prefer one (1) or more years experience in Nursing Home environment

Status: Casual (Varied)

From:  $30.90 to $46.24 per hour.  

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

****There is a $10,000 sign on bonus for full time LPN’s and a $5,000 sign on bonus for part time LPN’s****

Description: Renders nursing care to patients within an assigned unit under the clinical supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse, and in accordance with hospital/nursing home policies and objectives. Performs a wide variety of patient care services for assigned patients.

Requires:

  • High school education or GSD.
  • Graduation from an accredited LPN program or completion of required components to satisfy LPN licensing examination.
  • Possess current NYS registration as LPN.
  • Prefer one (1) or more years experience in skilled nursing or previous experience in a health care setting.

Rate of Pay: $23.69 – $30.79 

Radiologic Technologist

****There is a $5,000 sign on bonus for full time Radiologic Technologists****

Description:  To assist the Radiologist and perform examinations on patients using radiographic equipment to produce diagnostic radiographs.

Requires: 

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent and two (2) year accredited school for Radiographic Technology.
  • Prefer an Associates Degree from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Licensed by New York State Department of Health.  ARRT certified.  American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification.
  • Prefer one (1) year prior experience.

Status:  Casual

From:  $27.00 – $35.10 per hour.
