Description:  Renders professional care diagnosing and treating human responses to actual or potential health problems through such services as case-finding, health teaching, health counseling and provisions of care supportive to or restorative of life and well-being.

Requires:

  • HSD/GED
  • AAS or diploma from an approved School of Nursing.
  • NYS RN license – current and valid.

Status:   Casual

From:  $30.90 to $46.24 hour.  

Assistant Nurse Manager

***There is a $15,000 sign on bonus for full time Assistant Nurse Managers***

Description:  The Assistant Nurse Manager is a Registered Nurse who works under the direction of the manager of a defined nursing department. Develops and coordinates educational programs for assigned personnel, assists with the evaluation and discipline of employees, and participates in quality improvement activities. The Assistant Nurse Manager can assume administrative responsibilities in the absence of the department Nurse Manager. Work is performed in accordance with established hospital standards, nursing department/unit process and outcome standards, established regulatory and accreditation requirements, and consistent with the philosophy, goals and objectives of the hospital and nursing department.

Requires: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program with Associate’s degree or diploma.  Employee is trained and prepared to care for the age-specific group (i.e., neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric) served on their assigned unit.
  • Prefer Bachelor of Science/Nursing degree.
  • Possess current NYS license for Registered Professional Nurse.
  • Possess current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).  Possess medication competency certification.
  • Possess five (5) years of prior nursing experience, two of which are consistent with the type of patient population to be managed.
  • Prefer two (2) years in management experience.

Status:   ICU/SCU – 6:45am – 3:15pm (40 hours) (hours will fluctuate depending on departmental needs).
