Patient Financial Services SupervisorThe purpose of this job is to supervise inpatient and outpatient billing as well as patient counseling. Act as a liaison between the hospital and third-party payers. Coordinate all switchboard-staffing levels.EDUCATION: Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent education. Patient Accounts CounselorJOB PURPOSE: Verification that all patients have proper insurance coverage necessary to cover the costs of receiving hospital care or to arrange some other mechanism for payment to ensure that the Hospital will receive payment. Gathers all information needed in order to complete the billing process. Assist walk in patients with questions on their accounts. Updates Meditech with insurance information supplied by patient services.EDUCATION: Possess a High School diploma or equivalent. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: NoneEXPERIENCE: No prior experience is required; however, one (1) year of prior experience in hospital patient billing is desirable. If no prior experience, six months of on-the-job training will be provided.SHIFT: 40 Hours
