The limits of the Licensed Practical Nurse II responsibility is defined by hospital policy in keeping with the New York State Code, Rules and Regulations and the NYS Education Department.High school diploma or equivalent.Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program or completion of required components to satisfy LPN licensing examination.Employee is trained and prepared to care for the age-specific group served on their assigned unit.Possess current NYS license for Licensed Practical Nurse. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first six (6) months of hire. Completion of IV course, phlebotomy, blood administration course and EKG within six (6) months of hire.One (1) or more years of previous experience in an acute hospital setting.Status: MED/SURG 3rd Floor Nursing/WEST – 6:45pm – 7:15am (24 hours)Rate of Pay: $21.71 – $26.25 per hour.
