Patient Access Representative

The purpose of a Patient Access Representative is to perform all aspects of patient intake from scheduling appointments, insurance verification, pre-registration, pre-certification, medical necessity verification and copay/deductible collection.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Schedules patients for test adhering to established policy and procedures. 
  • Obtains, name, date of birth, social security number, address, clinical history and insurance information.
  • Pre-registers patients and obtains all detailed insurance information.
  • Collects any copays/deductibles at time of pre-registration.
  • Obtains diagnosis information and completes medical necessity verification.
  • Performs insurance verification and pre-certification, when applicable.
  • Interviews patients and obtains all necessary information to register patient for services.

EDUCATION: 

  • Possess a High School diploma or equivalent required.

PREFFERED: 

  • Possess one (1) or two (2) years of college with completion of an approved program in medical terminology.
  • Possess prior experience with patient scheduling or unit coordinator.  Knowledge of third-party payors desired.

EXPERIENCE: 

  • Possess previous experience in health care delivery system with exposure to patient registration.

SHIFT:  9:30AM – 6:00PM      |         STATUS:   40 HOURS  

RATE OF PAY:  $17.71 – $19.21 / HOUR

Materials Management Clerk

Description:  The purpose of this job is to receive and deliver products to all areas of the facility in a timely manner. 

Required:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • No prior experience required. 
  • Prefer prior experience in storeroom or hospital setting. 

Status:  6:00am – 6:00pm (28 hours)  Position will require weekend rotation.

Rate of Pay: $17.22 – $19.35

Description:  The purpose of this job is to clean and service the Hospital building interior, move furniture, equipment and supplies in and around the building and perform a variety of housekeeping duties and repetitive tasks to maintain the building complex in a safe, sanitary, orderly and attractive condition.

Requires: 

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Prefer one year environmental services experience in a healthcare setting.

Status:   7:00am – 3:30pm (24 hours)

Rate of Pay: $15.86 – $17.99 /hour.  Experience differential after one year of service.
