Obstetrician/Gynecologist Physician full time or part time Laborist to round out a four (4) MD group.  

We are currently looking for a full time or part time member of our group.  Our group consists of four (4) Physicians for call.  Our offices are quite strong with a staff of four (4) WHNP and three (3) Midwives.  

The call rotation is 1 in 4 which we plan on adding PT/OR Laborist positions.   The Physicians have access to desirable block time at our OR and dedicated C-Section spots.  

At this time, we would like to decompress delivery call duty for our hard working Obstetricians by adding Laborist shifts either on a full time or part time basis.

SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE FOR FULL-TIME OB/GYN Physician

We are a small hospital in Upstate NY, 55 miles from Albany and 45 minutes from Saratoga.  We have a low volume labor and delivery (approximately 500 per year).  The low volume can be attributed to demographics.  This year we saw a 20% upswing by end of June.  We have a strong commitment to deliver this service and a beautiful birthing center.

We currently run Women’s Health out of three (3) of our twelve (12) Primary/Specialty Care Centers.  One is in Gloversville and is attached to the hospital, another in Perth, NY which is 9.2 miles away and the last in Fonda, NY.

We have a four (4) MD group with two (2) midwives and three (3) WH NP.  Our office practices are quite strong.

This is a full time position that assumes a four (4) day week and a one (1) in four (4) call.  We have Nurse Midwives who take first call when they are assigned for call which means that you would be called by doctors, ER or the Birthing Unit in those circumstances, but not patients (and, yes, in full disclosure, the math dictates that there are times when a midwife will not be on call with you, but it is fairly rotated and at those times, GYN patient calls go to our other NP call rotations).  We would assume that you would do deliveries and surgeries.

We are currently looking for a full time member of our group.  Our group consists of four (4) physicians which we augment with three (3) Midwives for call.  Our offices are quite strong with a staff of four (4) WHNP and three (3) Midwives.  

The call rotation is 1 in 4 to which we plan on adding PT and/or Laborist positions.  And, of course, a fair portion of time you have a CNM when on call.  We deliver approximately 500 infants per year.  The Physicians have access to desirable book time at our OR and dedicated C-Section spots. 

We have two locations, one in Gloversville and one in Perth.  Both have experienced support staff.  

This full time position offers:

  • Very competitive salary – starts MGMA median/mean.
  • PTO of eight (8) weeks.
  • Extended Sick time of one (1) week per year. 
  • Malpractice is individual ocurance – Creates a tail, makes excess coverage available.
