Director of Recreation Therapy Nathan Littauer Nursing Home The purpose of the Director of Recreation Therapy is to provide a strong, well-organized recreation program to meet the social, emotional, physical and cognitive needs of the residents seven (7) days a week taking into account the individual resident’s special physical or age-related needs. To develop programming to stimulate individual interests in meaningful activities. To provide a therapeutic environment for all residents. Possess a Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with a major in therapeutic recreation or a major in recreation with an option in therapeutic recreation.
