Director of Recreation Therapy Nathan Littauer Nursing Home The purpose of the Director of Recreation Therapy is to provide a strong, well-organized recreation program to meet the social, emotional, physical and cognitive needs of the residents seven (7) days a week taking into account the individual resident’s special physical or age-related needs. Possess a Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with a major in therapeutic recreation or a major in recreation with an option in therapeutic recreation. Certification as a Recreation Therapist. Clearance through the New York State Control Register or Child Abuse and Maltreatment. Prefer three (3) years experience as a Recreational Therapist. Possess a working knowledge of Federal and State Medicare and Medicaid conditions of participation; New York State Codes, Rules and Regulations.
