TITLE: Primary / Specialty Care Manager  

SHIFT:  8:00AM – 4:30PM                     STATUS: 40 HOURS

The purpose of this job is to identify and provide care management services for the high-risk patients in the Primary/Specialty Care population and work with behavioral health agencies outside the Nathan Littauer Hospital Primary/Specialty Care system to coordinate PCP services for the Agency’s high-risk population.

EDUCATION:  Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.

PREFERRED: Associate’s degree with a concentration on care management or related discipline.

EXPERIENCE:  Care Management experience. 

PREFERRED: Process Improvement, Quality Improvement, and Patient Centered Medical Home recognition is highly preferred.

KNOWLEDGE:  Possess a working knowledge of outpatient, third party reimbursement, operations of a primary/specialty care private practice, managed care, computer operations.

Health Information Management (HIM) Manager

POSITION:  Health Information Management (HIM) Manager
DEPARTMENT:  Health Information Management (HIM)

JOB PURPOSE:  The Coding and Health Information Management Manager works collaboratively with NLH management, providers, staff, and patients to optimize the scanning, chart analysis, coding and charge capture processes. The manager will oversee the collection of patient information while supporting internal and external customers and working collaboratively across interdepartmental teams. This position ensures the efficient and effective daily operation of patient data, Worklists, and adequate staffing coverage of all areas of responsibility.  This position will use critical thinking and analytical skills to complete special projects. This position supports and maintains ongoing processes and procedures that allow for accurate, complete, and timely verification of patient information, as well as, organizational mission, vision, values and regulatory standards.  Supports, recognizes, and promotes teamwork within and across Coding and Health Information as well as with other departments.  Will directly manage, audit, and review activities of the coding, clerical, analysis and other personnel engaged in the clerical functions of the Department. Assists with third party payer denials.  Assists HIM Director in planning, coordinating, and overseeing the daily functions of the department.  This position is on site with the ability to occasionally work remotely with approval from the HIM Director.

EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or a related area or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:   CCS or CCS-P Certification required.  RHIA or RHIT Certification preferred. 

EXPERIENCE:  Four (4) years of Revenue Cycle experience preferred.  Previous experience with outpatient and/or inpatient coding with assignment of ICD-10 CM codes and ICD/10PCS or CPT/HCPC codes.  Experience with EHR and software applications.  Prior experience in a leadership or lead role highly desirable.  Will consider four (4) or more years of experience in medical records.

SHIFT: 8:00AM – 4:30PM          STATUS: 40 HOURS 

RATE OF PAY: $27.71 – $43.50
Compensation for this position is based on individual skill set, experience and qualifications.

Nursing Supervisor

****There is a $15,000 sign on bonus for full time evening/night Nursing Supervisors****

JOB PURPOSE: The purpose of the Nursing Supervisor job is to coordinate the activities of the patient care units in a centralized nursing environment.  The Nursing Supervisor assists the Nurse Managers in departmental staffing on a daily basis, maintains approved standards of patient care within the Division of Nursing taking into account the individual patient’s special physical or age-related needs, investigates and resolves complaints and maintains a safe environment for staff and patients.  The Nursing Supervisor has responsibility for the operation of the entire hospital in the absence of Department Heads and Administration with the support of the designated “Administrator-on-call”.

Work is performed in accordance with established hospital standards, nursing department/unit process and outcome standards, established regulatory and accreditation requirements, and consistent with the philosophy, goals and objectives of the hospital and nursing department.

EDUCATION:  Graduate from an accredited nursing program with associate’s degree or diploma required.  Employee is trained and prepared to care for the age-specific group served.

PREFERRED: Bachelor of Science Nursing degree.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: Possess current NYS license for Registered Professional Nurse, American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications within the first 6 months of hire or transfer.   

EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of medical/surgical experience or equivalent. 

PREFERRED: Two (2) years nursing management experience.

KNOWLEDGE: Possess a working knowledge of NYS Department of Health Code, Rules and Regulations, accreditation requirements, administrative policies, nursing structure standards, procedures and protocols, union contracts, child abuse reporting requirements, OSHA, infection control, safety, body mechanics, scope of practice, documentation computers and communication systems.  Possess knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on their assigned unit.  Possess knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.

SHIFT:  5:45PM – 6:15AM | STATUS:  36 hours (Hours will fluctuate depending on departmental needs)

RATE OF PAY: $33.92 – $ / HOUR
