The Nurse Manager is the first line manager designated as the leader for a specified nursing unit, its patient population, and the assigned staff.  The Nurse Manager has 24-hour responsibility and accountability for all patient care activities taking into account the individual patient’s special physical or age-related needs.   Work is performed in accordance with established hospital standards, nursing department/unit process and outcome standards, established regulatory and accreditation requirements, and consistent with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the hospital and nursing department.

EDUCATION:  Graduation from an accredited nursing program with associate’s degree or diploma.  Employee is trained and prepared to care for the age-specific group {i.e.:  neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric} served on their assigned unit.

PREFERRED: Bachelor of Science/Nursing Degree.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: Current NYS license for Registered Professional Nurse; American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) within the first six (6) months of hire. Medication competency certification. 

PREFERRED:  Certification in area of practice. (Consistent with the type of patient population to be managed).  Two (2) years management experience.

KNOWLEDGE:  Possess a working knowledge of NYS Department of Health Code, Rules and Regulations, accreditation requirements, bargaining and non-bargaining unit agreements, OSHA, infection control, safety, body mechanics, child abuse reporting requirements, scope of practice.

SHIFT:  6:45AM – 11:15PM          STATUS: 40 HOURS (Hours will fluctuate based on departmental needs)

PAY RATE: $37.85 – $50.48

Certified Pharmacy Technician

Description:  The purpose of this job is to assist the Pharmacist in technical aspects of modern pharmacy practice in performing non-professional duties where clinical judgement is not required to free the Pharmacist for professional duties.

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess a current New York State Certified Pharmacy Technician Registration.
  • Possess one (1) year of hospital Pharmacy Technical experience.

Status:  8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (40 hours)

Rate of Pay: $18.50 – $20.67 / HOUR

Ultrasound Technologist

Description: Responsible for the operation of diagnostic ultrasound equipment for the performance of all dynamic ultrasound procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision.

Requires:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an Ultrasound Training Program or graduation from an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology
  • Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or registry eligible in an Ultrasound modality.
  • Possess one (1) year of experience in Ultrasound Imaging
  • Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology

Status:    8:00am – 4:30pm (40 hours)

$34.46 – $44.46 per hour

Ultrasound Technologist

Registered Respiratory Therapist Cardiovascular/Pulmonary Rehab

Description:  The purpose of this job is to perform cardiopulmonary evaluations, respiratory therapy treatments, techniques and education of the patient and to perform and coordinate the Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehab Program taking into account the individual patient’s special physical or age related needs.

  • Associates in Applied Science degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent study meeting NBRC requirements for Registered Respiratory Therapy credential.
  • Prefer COPD educator, Asthma Educator, Cardiac Rehab Specialist, Exercise Physiologist and Glucose Monitoring Certification.
  • Current license from the New York State Education Department and certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
  • Possess one (1) year experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute care setting and Pulmonary Rehab.
  • Prefer two (2) to three (3) years experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute care setting and two (2) years Pulmonary Rehab.  American Heart Association ACLS certified.

Status:  7:00am – 3:30pm (40 hours)

From:  $30.75 to $39.97 per hour.
