JOB TITLE: Patient Financial Services Supervisor  |  DEPARTMENT: Patient Financial Services

JOB PURPOSE: The purpose of this job is to supervise inpatient and outpatient billing as well as patient counseling.  Act as a liaison between the hospital and third-party payers.  Coordinate all switchboard-staffing levels.

EDUCATION:  Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent education.  Possesses a 2-year college degree in Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent business administration experience.

PREFERRED:  Possesses a bachelor’s degree in accounting or other health related field.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:  None

EXPERIENCE:  Possess five (5) years’ healthcare billing experience in a Patient Financial Services preferably on Meditech B/AR. Supervisory experience

KNOWLEDGE:  Possess a working knowledge of third-party rules and regulations.  

RATE OF PAY: $25.00 – $34.61 – $ /hour
– Compensation for this position is based on individual skill set, experience, and qualifications.

JOB PURPOSE:The purpose of this job is to provide the Controller with confidential financial and statistical information, prepare reports and surveys to appropriate out-side agencies and provide support and assistance in the Finance Department.

EDUCATION: Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:  None

EXPERIENCE:  Possess three (3) years’ prior experience in Accounting.

SHIFT: 8:00AM – 4:30PM    STATUS: 40 HOURS (full-time)

SALARY: $28.84 – $32.21 / hour

Assistant Nurse Manager – Emergency Care Center (Emergency Room)

The Assistant Nurse Manager is a Registered Nurse who works under the direction of the manager of a defined nursing department.  He or she develops and coordinates educational programs for assigned personnel, assists with the evaluation and discipline of employees, and participates in quality improvement activities.  The Assistant Nurse Manager can assume administrative responsibilities in the absence of the department Nurse Manager.

EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree.  Employee is trained and prepared to care for the age-specific group served on their assigned unit (i.e.: neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric).

PREFERRED:  Bachelor of Science/Nursing degree.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:  Possess current NYS license for Registered Professional Nurse.   American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within first six (6) months of hire or transfer.  Medication competency certification.

EXPEREINCE:  Five (5) years’ of prior nursing experience, two (2) of which are consistent with the type of patient population to be managed.

PREFERRED:  Two (2) years’ management experience. American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). 

SHIFT: 10:45AM – 9:15PM                   STATUS: 40 HOURS (Hours will fluctuate based departmental needs)
