Child Health Plus, Medicaid, Managed Care & NYS of Health

New York State of Health Marketplace of Nathan Littauer Hospital & Nursing Home

NY State of Health is an organized marketplace designed to help people shop for and enroll in health insurance coverage. Individuals and families can use the marketplace to help them compare insurance options, calculate costs and select coverage online, in-person, over the phone or by mail. The marketplace helps people to check their eligibility for health care programs like Medicaid and sign up for these programs if they are eligible. The marketplace also tells what type of financial assistance is available to applicants to help them afford health insurance purchased through the marketplace.

New York has a health insurance program for kids called Child Health Plus and it offers free or low cost health insurance to qualified individuals. It is meant for people who don’t qualify for Medicaid, CHP or Medicare. Depending on your family’s income and household size and who is claimed as a dependent on your Federal Tax Return, the child may be eligible to join Child Health Plus through the NYS of Health Marketplace.

The Navigational Enrollment Department at Nathan Littauer Hospital can offer assistance with applying for the above mentioned programs and are located on the 2nd floor of the hospital. If interested please call one of the numbers listed anytime Monday through Friday from 730am to 5:00 pm (Holidays Excluded). Please feel free to leave a voice message if no one answers and someone will return your call.
